With this unique technology, the Anchor Holes are not required to be shifted because of Rebar locations. With the Zero Vibration technology, holes from 8mm dia up to 2000mm are accurately and precisely core drilled in even heavily reinforced concrete.

In Pakistan, we have already achieved the Milestone of Core Drilling Dia 700mm x 4.0 Meters deep in heavily reinforced raft foundation at Lucky Cement Ltd. The Holes produced with Saifee Engineering & Contracting Services Systems are evenly finished and no repairs are required.

Not only is the opening clean, precise and accurate, but it also protects the existing structure from damage or hazards of developing cracks caused by percussion, hammering or chiseling etc.

Inclined / Angular Coring is also possible with this unique technology. Additionally, we can make large openings as well of any shape & dimension in all RCC members, with Stitch coring Technique

Diamond Saw Cutting & Wire Sawing

With the Non-vibration Saifee Engineering & Contracting Services, Saifee Engineering & Contracting Services Wall Saws and Wire Saws are extensively used to make linear cutting in RCC structures. Creating large openings, cutting of Beams, columns or floors, RCC structures can be precisely cut without any structural damage up to a maximum depth of 73 cm or 730mm (from one side) using Saifee Engineering & Contracting Services Wall Saw equipment.

WIRE SAWING Technology has no limits and no limitations and can cut Reinforced Concrete to any depths and dimensions (not yet available in Pakistan). Openings for any applications, concrete demolition and remedial works, structural rehabilitation, extensions, flush cutting in all positions, angular and stepped cuttings are possible with state-of-the-art Vibration less Sawing technologies.

Rebar Detection & Ferro Scanning

Saifee Engineering & Contracting Services Engineering carries a fleet of this INNOVATIVE and state of the art facility called FERRO SCANNING with latest models including PS-200 and FS10 Ferro scans. The scanner by developing a magnetic field, produces pictures on the monitor’s screen and thus the grid is fully exposed.

This is ideal for the formation of rebar grids in old structures where the information is required to assess the Dia, Depth and Spacing of rebar and its cover in concrete. The data is stored in memory of the scanner and can be downloaded on computer, which can be used for Reverse engineering & for extensions to existing concrete members. These Ferro Scanners can be used for Rebar Marking on concrete to avoid cutting and hitting the rebar during Sawing, Coring and Drilling operations.

It can also be used for quality control Inspection during and after the construction of RCC structures. The data obtained from time to time Scanning is also very useful in preventive maintenance of structures

Large Dia Core Cutting

Saifee Engineering & Contracting Services has full capability in terms of Equipment, Consumables, expertise & experience to execute Special size Core Drilling / Large diameter Cores in the range upto Dia 750mm x 4,000mm deep in heavily reinforced concrete.

Successful execution under NESPAK’s consultancy at Lucky Cement Ltd., Pezu in mid ‘90s and at Mustehkam Cement Ltd. expansion project under Loya Associates consultancy in 2008/09 bears an excellent reference to these Mega jobs.

The technology being vibration free prevented the structure from developing hairline cracks whilst creating mega openings for Piling contractors to dig piles thru. This was the critical phenomena as these hairline cracks deteriorate with age & cause larger cracks, making the structure brittle for designed loads.

Under Water Coring & Sawing

For the first time in Pakistan, Saifee Engineering & Contracting Services performed Under underwater core drilling with the latest state of the art/ sophisticated technologies at the prestigious Sukkur Barrage project.

5 Cores of 10” Diameter in depth of nearly 5 feet were made in PCC and Limestone Gravel under 20 feet deep water, to check scouring below concrete Bed (Scouring is a process in which sand/ earth is washed away by flowing water below the concrete structure, thus making the structure suspended/ brittle and allows sepage of water through cracks).

A professional diving company was hired and the skilled divers made the challenging task of working in Zero Visibility possible.The technology used is zero vibration and is aided with Diamond tipped core bits or saw blades. This ensures that the existing structure is not damaged, as compared to the traditional methods of hammering and percussion.

Jacketing / Doweling In RCC

To make up / cover the loss of strength in RCC structures due to damages including fire, degeneration and aging, additional rebars can be installed using Injection technique epoxy & mortars. HSA has successfully introduced a new brand specializing in chemical and mechanical anchoring by the name of SIMPSON Strong tie anchor system (USA).

Rebar jacketing or Rebar Doweling is possible with Injection Technique Epoxy without chipping and exposing of old rebars and welding. Simply by drilling into old concrete and injecting Simpson epoxy, additional strength, extended structure life and similar load capability as post installed bars is achieved. This is unique when extension from old structures are to be done like raising a Floor above roof level, extending a beam from Column or raising a Column from ground level/foundation etc.

Anchor Pull-Out Testing

Saifee Engineering & Contracting Services has introduced services for the On-site Anchor Pull out testing with the latest Hydraulic Anchor Pull out Testing Kit. Anchors and Rebars can now be tested on site upto a maximum of 320 KN or 32 tons in tensile load.

Thus, Consultants specifying anchors & Contractors installing them can now verify the Anchor quality, Pull out loads and its reliability on site, in actual conditions and ultimately the loads published by manufacturers in their catalogs can be double checked.

Engineering Excellence

At Lucky Cement Limited, Pezu, Distt. Lakki Marwat, the kilns and cooler buildings were beginning to tilt sharply. Saifee Engineering & Contracting Services under the consultancy of NESPAK successfully executed remedial measures which were first time attempted not only in Pakistan but even worldwide. It is indeed an honor to Saifee Engineering & Contracting Services team for achieving this historic milestone.

Appreciating this achievement, Hilti included this application photograph in their international product catalog 2003/04.As suggested by Nespak, Cores with Zero vibration technology of varying diameter and depth were made. Gigantic core of 750mm dia x 4 meters deep through reinforced raft were made at 19 locations, in order for civil contractors to drill piles in earth upto 27 meters depth.

Through these cores, tie beams were also created at raft level. The job also involved Diamond Saw Cutting and Jacketing for concrete extension and re-strengthening.
